Craftsman Frank Germann is strongly influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement. Legendary Craftsmen like Gustav Stickley, Frank Lloyd Wright, Harvey Ellis, William Morris and the Greene brothers inspire his work.
Despite the long history attached to mission style furniture, it adds a lot of class and sophistication to Heritage style homes as well as contemporary homes. Frank tries his best to carry on the tradition of the Arts and Crafts movement, building heirloom furniture that is not just useful but also very beautiful and long lasting.

Frank’s background is European. He grew up in Switzerland where he developed a strong admiration for beautiful handcrafted furniture. Frank spent many years perfecting his skills to build such furniture. He moved to Canada where he tried his hand at many things such as ranching in BC and Alberta. For several years, building furniture was put on the back burner and he treated it more as a hobby. In 2003 Frank finally returned to his true calling of working with wood. His thirst for perfection and his knowledge of the principals by which Arts and Crafts furniture is built, make his creations pieces of art.
Each piece of fine furniture begins with the careful selection of wood, mostly quarter sawn white oak. Other species of wood we use in our shop include, black cherry, red oak, walnut, aspen, poplar, birch, pine, reclaimed lumber, barn wood and clear cedar.
